A conservative estimate of 27,000 people commit suicide every year in Japan, that is one person every 20 minutes. Over 70 people end their life in Japan each day, and suicide has become the number one cause of death in men aged 20–44. At the foot of Japan’s iconic Mt. Fuji, lying sprawled amongst some of the most majestic scenery in Japan, is one such place.
