Schon als Schüler begann „Big“ Don Williams mit der Country-Music. Heute gilt der Texaner, der zwischendurch auch als Fernfahrer und Ölarbeiter jobbte, bis jetzt rund 500 Songs schrieb, als der Superstar dieser Musikrichtung. Und er hat auch den Sprung über den großen Teich geschafft. In England zählt er mittlerweile zu den Künstlern mit dem größten Platten-Umsatz.
