Deutsche Erstausstrahlung: 16.02.1956 ARD Die Geschichte eines kleinen Jungen namens Rusty und seines Hundes Rin Tin Tin im Wilden Westen des letzten Jahrhunderts. Rustys Eltern werden bei einem Indianerüberfall getötet. Die Kavallerie von Fort Apache nimmt sich des kleinen Jungens und seines Hundes Rin Tin Tin an. Zusammen mit Lieutenant Rip Masters erlebt Rusty fortan als Junior-Kavallerist mit seinem Hund aufregende Abenteuer im Wilden Westen.
Rusty wurde von Lee Aaker und Lieutenant Rip Masters von James Brown gespielt. Rin Tin Tin starb nach ca. 10 jähriger Filmtätigkeit (ca. 25 Filme) und wurde in Frankreich begraben.
Rin Tin Tin war die erste amerikanische Serie im deutschen Fernsehen. Die erste Folge lief am 16.02.1956 um 21.25 Uhr.
